Follow these SIMPLE steps to achieve your perfect picture.
(Here are some of my favorite shots from my engagement photo shoot)

1.) You want your skin to look clean & natural, but in order to avoid looking washed out- add a bit more color Such as Nars Bronzer in Laguna to your cheeks and in your hairline.
2.) To compliment the tip above, do the same with your lips. NO NUDE. You need a pop of natural color (**This will make your teeth look whiter too!**) I wore Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Stripped.
3.) Use a primer for Face & Eyes! This is probably the most important step. You have no idea what conditions you'll be faced with on the day of your scheduled shoot. For instance, would you have guessed that in the above photo it was 20 degrees, and 15 mph winds? Well, it was!! Why can't you tell? Because I am wearing Benefit's Porefessional Primer and Laura Mercier Eye Basics Primer in Buff.
3.) Setting powder. My end-all-be-all powder is Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Finishing Powder. This is the MECCA. However when it comes to a photoshoot I up the ante a bit. I bake my concealer with every makeup artists favorite RCMA Powder. Don't know what baking is? Check our tutorial here. When taking professional pictures you really need to focus on taking the shine out of your face, the camera will pick up the natural reflective light.
4.) Do your eyeshadow FIRST. This way you can avoid fall out. (The eyeshadow that somehow ends up on your under eye/cheek throughout the day or night). Also avoid using eyeshadow with too much sparkle. Use matte solid colors to exude a cleaner, more seamless eye. I love this new Tarte Palette.
5.) Eyebrows are everything. I have always used it Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil. Check out our post on proper brow shaping here.
